Newera Added Colours to Tyrexpo Asia 2004
The fourth Tyrexpo Asia took place at the Singapore Expo
Centre between 17-19 February and witnessed the Newera
Group of companies achieving greater presence than at
the last show in 2001.
Newera
made its presence felt through having two booths at this
exhibition. The first booth measured 6x10m was situated
at the first roll near the entrance to the exhibition
hall. It showcased Newera Retreading and Kayel Rubber.
The second booth was situated at the centre segment of
the hall, measured 3x6m, and exhibited Newera Automotive
Servicing range of products. Both booths were adorned
with colourful banners held by five metres tall metal
towers to facilitate visitors locating us and to give
them a sense of our presence and scope.

Farrant, Managing Director of ECI International, the
UK-based organisers of the show, commented: “We are
delighted with Newera’s participation and are pleased
that so many of its principals and suppliers (like Cemb,
Bao Long Shanghai, B&J Rocket, Butler, Ferlex, Hunter,
MAE, Matteuzzi) have once again supported Tyrexpo Asia
2004. Newera blue and orange design had certainly added
colours to our show.”
The organisers reported that nearly 3,000 visitors from
63 countries attended the three day exhibition. Newera
was able to draw a steady stream of visitors from this
pool. For instance, over 140 copies of Automotive
Servicing Brochure were distributed by the first day of
the exhibition. The high level of customer intimacy
Newera has achieved with our customers was testified by
the trust customers have in us in entrusting their
belongings with us during the show.
On-site
equipment demonstrations attracted visitors to the
booths. Newera Retreading booth, for example, provided
demonstrations on PCL digital tyre inflator
capabilities, MAE double enveloping system, Matteuzzi
RAS 98E buffing machine, and Newera Engineering monorail
and tyre spinner which lured the curious crowd.
Overall the event had brought the customers we wanted to
see. For example, 60 Sales leads were generated.
Moreover, the show was also an opportunity to see what
companies like Elgitread, Italmatic, Kraiburg, Liew Koon,
Rema Tip Top, Tech, Hock Lee Trading have had to offer.
The East Malaysian retreading company Big Wheel, for
example, launched their new Side Seal Technology at this
exhibition. They provided demonstrations of their
envelope-free curing process.
The next Tyrexpo Asia will take place at the Singapore
Expo Centre between 13-15 September 2005.
