In the
process, worn out tyres (of trucks, light trucks and
buses) are collected, the surface is buffed to correct
distortion and is also prepared for retreading. After
this, a new tread belt is applied on to the buffed
surface with a layer of unvulcanised rubber compound
(bonding gum). The tyre is then cured in an electric
chamber.
The resultant retreaded tyre gives almost the same
mileage of a new tyre. The technology involves various
items of retreading equipment and raw materials such as
precured tread rubber, bonding gum, vulcanising cement,
etc. |

Application

light trucks, trucks and buses.
