Precured Process

Process
In the process, worn out tyres (of trucks, light trucks and buses) are collected, the surface is buffed to correct distortion and is also prepared for retreading. After this, a new tread belt is applied on to the buffed surface with a layer of unvulcanised rubber compound (bonding gum). The tyre is then cured in an electric chamber.

The resultant retreaded tyre gives almost the same mileage of a new tyre. The technology involves various items of retreading equipment and raw materials such as precured tread rubber, bonding gum, vulcanising cement, etc.

Areas of Application
Rubber industry, automobiles: it can be applied for all sizes of road running vehicles including passenger cars, light trucks, trucks and buses.

Advantages
- The technology gives extra life to a tyre thus enabling the fleet owner to save costs since retreading will cost him only a fraction of the cost of new tyre.

- Precured retreading technology is the best and most advanced among the various retreading technologies.

- The technology is very environment-friendly.

- Disposal of old tyres is a pollution problem in all countries. Precured retreading addresses this problem by giving more life to a tyre and thus reducing the number of tyres for disposal. The retreading factory has no pollutants/effluents since all the equipment work with electricity and compressed air

Production Capacity
Different capacities can be offered starting from 21 truck tyres/10 hr shift

Inputs Required
Land/building: 300 sq.m.
Power: 60 KW
Raw materials: Precured tread rubber, bonding gum, black vulcanising cement, envelopes, etc.
Others: Consumables such as rasps
Manpower: 5 to 6 including one production supervisor

Development Status
Company has been supplying similar retreading plants since 1985 to various countries around the world. The technology is protected by trade mark and patents

Economic Data
